This morning I went to raise one and heard the weird quick noise and the shade would not raise because the spring is sprung. I don't know it is broken totally or not. I watched a video on You Tube on adjusting it so I rolled it by hand and finally got it to stay up.

The replacement sent from Irving was broken as well. I had to scavenge parts from the old one to get the new one to work. Just last week I had the other large shade fail. WebbTo fix the problem, close the shade and take it down from the bracket. Now you need to hold the roller in your hand and manually lower the fabric up to half of the full length.
