WebJul 26, 2024 · The plastic is supposed to be stiff enough that bends under pressure and then locks the retainer. The spring retainer was noticeably weaker than the blade that came off. And after a couple days, the wiper fell off while being used. I am a mechanical engineer and have been working on cars for 50 years, I assure you I installed the blade properly.
