East altoona roundhouse
WebThe East Altoona roundhouse was supposedly the largest in the world when it was still standing. It was a full-circle, even the entrance/exit tracks were basically open-ended stalls. IIRC it had 48 stalls altogether. The building was torn down in the mid-60s, but the floor and inspection pits can still be seen by those who know where to look. http://www.rypn.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19758
