One thing to note, is that due to the general numbering scheme of Ford’s casting numbers, you can have the same major casting number, for two completely different applications. WebFeb 12, 2007 · The GT40p is based on the GT40 but it's more for everyday driving. The GT40 is a better flowing head than the E7. Which head is best for you would be a question of how you intend to drive the vehicle. The GT40 is for highest horsepower, the GT40p would make better torque and get better mileage.

You can easily have a machinist open the valve seats and if you have not done the bowl work have the machinist do it. If you are shopping on eBay let me make a suggestion for a valve spring for your set up.
